Well today i was let down by my friend so i had to drive to the MOT station, happy on two counts, 1 the car passed, and two, i didn't have any dizzyness what so ever, i.ve been fine now since i started on the medication, i know i was taking a risk, but it was on local roads, and if i had have needed to i could have easily pulled over, and i had to know how i would cope .

Fantastic Martin. Just to say, since my wife has been on the medication from 2006, she has only had a few bad attacks, and they have been at home. Just don’t move your head quickly when people call your name. Coming down stairs/steps, she focuses on something slightly away from the bottom of the stairs. This avoids quick movement of the eyes, which tends to bring an attack to the fore. I am sure you will be ok now.

Hi Martin,

I know exactly how you feel.

I also got my licence back, with no restrictions, a couple of weeks ago, but with your good news, I'm happy to put it on the forum.

Hope to see you soon.

Regards

Mike

Great news from both of you, now maybe we can get our meets going again. Today I had emergency surgery for a detached retina and was told not to drive home under any circumstances. Couldn't leave the rover in nhs car park, so told them was taking taxi and drove back with patch, one eyed. Dodgy in the dark, but made it. So onwards and forwards.

I did the same years ago when I had a steel splinter in my eye, the eye infirmary cut my eyeball and removed the splinter then asked if I drove there...

Drove home with a patch on, 2.0 fiat twin cam engined mk1 escort, it was the slowest that car ever went!

Well done Jennifer, sometimes you just have to do these things.

Sorry to hear about detached retina though; hope all is back to normal a.s.a.p

Regards

Mike
