Thumbs up

Going to Qawra in early October for a week, not nearly long enough, absolutely love the place and Maltese people, sadly need to win the lottery to go or stay for longer. Looking forward to all the same.

We just can't seem to keep away from the place as we're back again for a wee break before Christmas.

Weather is good enough for a trip on the yacht tomorrow see post 22

I was a bit surprised but my friend Jeffrey assures me it will be fine but to wear a jumper to keep warm.

BTW we're three days in and I've yet to spot a 75 sign of the times I reckon.

Meantime cam belt work and the house repairs can wait.

Thanks,
I can certainly recommend a visit. The hospitality shown to us over the past 30 years is testament to why we return on a regular basis.

Mind you it is quite cold at night because unlike in the UK, most Maltese families don't use heating at night so it's an extra jumper on. Lovely during the day visiting our favourite restaurants and coffee shops.

Drawing to the end of our latest visit to Malta and noted to my friend this morning about the lack of 75's on the island now.

Within two minutes I spotted a petrol blue one sitting in a forecourt fuelling up then on the way home tonight a second one parked up just three blocks away.

Weather was so nice we managed out for an afternoon sail again today.
Had the helm for 95% of the time so felt quite chuffed especially when I spotted a kayak when we entered port. My friend Jeffrey was so busy on the sails he hadn't spotted it.

A lovely end to yet another fine break in Malta.
Next visit in the spring to attend a wedding.

Anyone Know or Heard of 'Star Tourist Service' I have had a quote from them for 5 day car hire of 105.00 Euros which includes drop off and collection at the Hotel in Mellieha the price includes Hire delivery VAT and Unlimited Mileage, there is also a 300 Euro Excess

Advantage about STAR is that they accept Debit Card payment (I do not own or want a Credit Card)

Anyone in or visited Malta any information on this company please

I believe I posted back in November with a recommendation on this company.

I have used them on my numerous visits to Malta.

Default Back again

Back in Malta for our first visit of the year. It's nice and warm but with strong winds. We did manage out on the boat but only for a short trip before returning to the shelter of one of the bay's inside the Grand Harbour where we anchored for a few hours to have our buffet lunch.
This time I have spotted some 75's. RVR 575 and an Arran White one CIN 125 if I remember the numbers correct.

Off to our friends daughters wedding tomorrow, this will be our 4th Maltese wedding and this time the new bride and her husband will be returning back with us to spend a few days in Scotland.
