Hi,
I was struggling with getting the starter motor out. I read the post by Arctic and it took me 15 mins flat. Great post, saved me loads of time and money. Cheers |

I've been having the same problem and did mine on Thursday, after some intermittent non-starting.
Turned out to be not too bad a job to tackle but ONLY because of this brilliant 'how-to' - with even a link to the spare parts kit supplier (which was good value at £13!) I don't mind getting my hands dirty but what holds me back is usually lack of knowledge and the fear of making things worse by breaking something else in the process. So another big thank-you Steve because I would probably not have attempted it otherwise. The only problem I had was getting the motor back into position and that was partly because I'd opted not to remove the EGR and was getting a bit tired and desperate as the light was fading. Did manage to break a 13mm socket in the process but it was a cheapo so I got the pristine Halfords set out - makes a difference when you're using decent tools too. |

I have recently sorted these couple out, so if any nano member gets stuck at the meet I can pop home and get one which could be fitted in exchange always best to be prepared Arctic

I followed this excellent how-to and had the whole job done from start to finish in under 2 hours on a Sunday morning.
However this morning when I turned the key, there was a pause before the starter motor began to spin, almost like the solenoid was sticking? Any ideas? |
