At a guess I would say the screen isn't seated correctly in the frame.
Without seeing it in the flesh I can't be sure though .

Default GPS Reciever Issue

Morning Jeff
I have just fitted my NAV 3 and when I switch it to Navigation it is just cycling and not picking up the GPS Antennae. "Auto detecting GPS receiver"
Have removed the Unit and checked the antennae lead was plugged in properly, ensuring no bent pins etc. No sign of any damage and seemed to be seated correctly.
Moved the GPS receiver from the dashboard to the roof of the car and this did not help either.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance.
John.

Sorry to harp on about this, but is there any update on a firmware revision, and more importantly, when it arrives is it going to have the credential storage on a non-volatile partition so that the current issues with all account settings occasionally deleting themselves are no longer there?

Anybody know when/if we can expect to see the new firmware?

Hi John,

I take it you have left it and it's not finding a signal after a period of time?
Where the satellite is turning in the left hand side of the screen, if you click on it you should get a display showing any satellites found.
Are there any ?

If not then I would suggest maybe your GPS antenna supplied could be faulty.
The hardware is actually inside this and not the Navall3 which is why it has a multipin connector.

If this is the case that it does not find any signal then let Sean know and he can arrange to get a new GPS antenna sent out to you.

Just as a note:
Please guys, if you do think you may have anything faulty or wish to PM me with any concerns be sure to contact Sean and not just me so he is in the loop

Thanks Jeff
Will follow your advice and see if the system is picking up the antennae and get back to you and Sean with the result.
Regards
John.
