Ta,

It had 'hung' during installation. I had to reset and re-install, now all done! Will configure it all in the 'morrow.

Also how do i get igo primo back. It is on the card, but dont know how to get it to look there again. (Now fixed igo, forgot i needed to navigate to the folder using the explorer and reinstall the ipk first, then set the navi path to igo.)

Just the tv issue to fix, oh and i also have the garbled music albums, it looks like the resolution has changed from 4 albums wide to just 3 albums wide.

Ok, tv fixed, igo fixed, tts voices restored.

Everything working as they should with the following exceptions

1. Radio with AF turned on becomes very distorted and noisy, so needs to be turned off. Same as before really, since it didnt work before either.

2. The music player does not display the track titles completely or the album names properly, in fact many albums it displays appear to be empty as well.

3. rover boot logo is not there any more. I seem to recall on the last version there was a way of setting the boot logo from a stored photo, but cant remember if i just imagined that or not. I have found a photo on my sd card though and cant think of any other reason why it would be there.

If we can nail these issues it will be a pretty decent version. Time will tell if it is more stable with regards to framework errors and so on, but i spotted what looks like an app to fast flush the caches which might help with that.

Thanks Jeff once I saw your video and made a new copy of Igo primo2, it installed faultlessly, and now operating from the SD card.
Many thanks again

Your very welcome Sir

Sorry I can't answer other questions on the new firmware as I haven't yet had a chance to look at it, I'm reading all the responses on here to see what's what

Im assuming the music player issue is an easy fix if you guys could recommend us a suitable app to install instead. There seem to be plenty out there. The logo issue got fixed in the earlier version so im sure it will be again in this one.

lived without radio AF for this long, so thats not a show stopper, just frustrating.

Is there a way to make Poweramp or similar the default music player?

Hi Sean,
Sent money as requested to Tony. Confirmed my address in reply to your email but not heard from you when or if you received it!
My unit has now decided to throw the "The appliaction Launcher (process com.android.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close"
So, I believe I need the firmware to sort this. If there is going to be a delay in the update, please can I have a copy of the original firmware.
By the way I am religously turning the unit off before the ignition so don't know why this glitch has appeared.
Regards,
Peter
