untested and no easy way to pay, but may be worth a small punt if you have a dead unit.:lol:

Just spoken to my alarm installer and he has told me that the one of the alarm channels can have a latched output to provide a permanent +12v feed to turn the FBH on and off, so I don't need a telestart or a timer unit for the parking heater Just use the Clifford remote to switch the unit on and off

Thats good, Tony - one less remote to carry on your keyring .
I made a start on my installation today. I got the fuel pump fitted before the rain stopped me again. I did a dry fit of the FBH and I'm wondering about the coolant hose. I know you cut it where it is marked, buit do you actually remove any of the hose? There is a joining a few inches away from the bleed point and it looks like it would be a neater fitting if that much of the hose was removed.

Hi Eamon I mucked up the cutting on the hose, the lower one needed a a bit more that the cutting make shows, and the upper one I just guessed the cutting, but after I realised that I have cut out the bleed valve!!! but it is all working ok. I did find a picture on the hoses, but I can not find it now. If I do I will forward it on to you.
Hope all goes well when you finally *** it finished, its been pouring over here to. Did the other unit arrive yet? Regards Tony |

I think the bleed valve should be retained. The joint I referred to is on the other side of it. If you find that pic, I would appreciate if you sent it on. I'm sure its not rocket science, though, so whatever looks OK and leaves no kinks/twists in the hoses is probably OK.
I also noticed today that I will probably have to re-route the main neg battery feed to the engine. It is running directly under the FBH and is very close to the exhaust. The spare unit was collected yesterday, so with a bit of luck I may have it tomorrow. I'll probably fit that for a test also.
