Just a couple of quick questions regarding this unit:
1, does it have to use a parking brake cable in order to watch dvd,s and if so can it be disabled. (i know it is illegal to drive whilst watching dvd.) 2, I am planing to install rear monitors. Now I know this unit can support rear monitors, but can it support dual display, example listen to music/sat nav on unit whilst rear passengers watch a dvd ( possibly with wireless headphones) Cheers |

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=2142 It may not look the same as your head unit (mine is different) but it came out using the same method. I found once I had the credit card bits in place and the top screws out, it still took a bit of giggling to get the unit out, it did not just come straight out. Hope this helps. Regards Adrian |

Is it possible to connect a bluetooth TMC Adapter to the unit? Would that work?

Sort sharp answer NO to bluetoorh, you can do a mod to the GPS board which will enable you to add a USB lead and a USB TMC receiver, I am waiting for a USB receiver to arrive and will report back once I have it.

As tony_fry said, You it has the safety feature required by law that you cannot watch movies etc whilst driving but if you connect the parking brake wire to ground(earth) it will function normally. you will be able to watch movies or SD Card or other media in the rear while navigating on the main screen. "Dual Zone" is often misinterpreted, if a Unit is TRUE Dual zone you would be able to watch (For example) TV on the front screen and a movie on the auxiliary screens but very very few units have that feature. With this one you would be able only to navigate on the front without interrupting rear screens but not watch 2 separate medias. Hope that makes sense. RG |

Thanks guys
Looks like I will stick to original plan and put standalone dvd players in each rear head rest. They can all watch what they want then. Keep everone happy... |
