Hi Ray. Look at the area at the bottom of the Avatar, there are two little signs at the very bottom. Just write what you want and then just click on the second one, the triangle, and it will go straight to a mod.

Stopped at the Cambridge Services on the A14 couple of days ago. There were 8 or 10 charging bays all in use, as I walked past one became available and an ev van moved towards it at the same time as a car, which had just arrived did.
Windows down and sharp words exchanged as the van claimed the bay. Have heard of similar exchanges from various sources. Not good, or nice to see. Shame really. |

I am sure I am not alone, but, I do not like queuing for anything. I will never use Asda again apart from getting diesel, because they are, like most companies intent on getting their customers to do the job of cashiers for them, by getting them queuing to put their shopping through a scanner for them, instead of a cashier . So I can not see me EVER getting one of these abominable EVs, and getting in a queue for probably a few hours to ‘fill up’. I have seen them queuing at Gordano services at Bristol.

Octopus energy are now offering free home charging with new V2G tariff.
To get free home charging with compatible EV's. "Drivers will need to plug in their car for roughly six hours a day and the rest of the process is automated. Octopus claim it will leave drivers with guaranteed free charging" That sounds better than a poke in the eye wi a mucky stick. British Gas are now doing a 4.5p/kWh overnight tariff, EDF have a 9p/kWh overnight tariff & other energy providers have a 7p/kWh tariff 12:00-05:00. That's 35 hours/week of cheap energy. I read this morning that the electricity price cap is coming down 12% on April 1st https://www.electrifying.com/blog/ar...new-v2g-tariff

That price is way off, You can get any of the latest smart chargers Wi-Fi ready + installation for £999. This is the one I recently got, The OHME Pro. https://ohme-ev.com/our-chargers/

“ Octopus has launched the UK’s first mass market vehicle-to-grid (V2G) tariff - Octopus Power Pack - which offers free home charging for drivers. This is expected to save the average driver more than £850 a year compared to charging on a standard variable tariff. There is a sting though - the charger you'll need to use is expected to cost around £6,000 and isn't generally available until later this year. It also only currently works with older cars.” |
