Really sorry I missed this one as it looks a great turnout, hopefully next year it won't clash with another event.

Apologies for delay in posting, Jan, I & the Family have had a wee break at Centre Parcs Penrith.
It is with special thanks to simondi for taking up the mantle to arrange the long awaited return, after 3 years to our Annual [commenced 2010] Anglo Scottish Meet Gretna, very much appreciated Simon. Many thanks to all who attended making for a good start to the return hopefully for the continuance well into the future for the great event the "Gretna" has become, well done everyone & very much appreciated. So good meeting new members to this event & indeed old friends, some like ourselves who have attended every one of the Gretna meets since it's conception, in particular a special thank you to Stu [Fusilier] who organised this event for several years for attending, following our enforced break, lovely seeing you again Stu hopefully we may all return to some kind of reasonable normality. A few pics to remind us all of another great day, long may it continue, take care everyone hope to meet you all at various future meets. PS, Apologies if anyone has been missed. GRETNA PART 1.

Wow, looks like it was a great event. I know I don`t do many but I quite fancied this one. Unfortunately it was the same day (and a similar distance give or take from Chesterfield) to RoverFest so I had to choose. Having driven back from Aberdeen two days before it made sense to go the other way!
However as there`s no RoverFest next year it will be my excuse to bring my early tourer north of the border for the first time in my ownership. RoverFest proved she is up to it and by next year there will have been more fettling.... Look forward to seeing you then, if not before.... |

Hi all,
I would have been there .....if it hadn't have clashed with the Rebellion Punk Festival (4 days) at Blackpool which I attend without fail every year on the 1st weekend of August (my Summer break).... too many mates from 35/40 years ago to catch up with to drink serious amounts of alcohol, and listen to a load of great bands old & new! This is a great meet which hopefully next year I can make a return. Cheers Maurice |
