backbox
hey guys i was checking my brakes today and noticed that the backbox has got a hole in it quite a big one. its only 4 weeks to m.o.t time
 can i get a replacement or does it have to be an aftermarket one? i also noticed that there are no joins in it will it be the original one? its a 2.5 160. can i get it fixed close to where i stay EH54cheers john |

Genuine boxes are quite pricey so may be worth trying your local tyre/exhaust specialist. I've just fitted a new box to my car & bought one of those handy chain pipe cutters & the whole job only took 20 mins, alternatively cut it with an angle grinder but I can tell you it normally hurts

Supply and fit custom made stainless backbox seems pretty standard across the country at around £150

If it's just to get throught the MOT then I'd just fill it and take your time sourcing one.
