Has anyone fitted the MG7 surround instead of the generic one most of us have fitted?

Looks neat fit.
Wonder if that unit is same depth as the Rungrace....maybe you get more room because the angle allows more room at the back?

After much faffing about today, I finally got my SWC controls sorted, thanks Mr Dallas. While I had the unit out I fitted my 90 degree aerial connections to give me that bit more room at the back.

Only things left to do is route the aerial under the rear seats into the boot area (mine's a tourer) and decide whether I want my USB port in the blank driver's cupholder slot, or in the glove box where I already have a USB charging port.

Excellent news

I thought about getting one of THESE... its an extension to flush mount the USB and RCA leads from the rear of the unit.

You could do away with the face-plate adapter and fit the circular plug in the centre console hole.

Very similar op to the one i fitted in my Girlfriends Focus.
I don't think there is a rear USB cable tho on this like the Android version, which means using the mini one on the front with cable on display.
Yes you can use the SD card for the music instead of or with, but I'm using the rear one for music...via Glove box.
Minor gripe I suppose, and the price is good.
Always been a Android user, but think the simpler interface of Wince is maybe better suited in a car.
Maybe Dallas can give us his thoughts between the two operating systems once he has his up and running (if not already!!!) in his wife's car.

A thought on the MG7 facia...
Maybe it would not suit the Rungrace Unit so much because if it sits further back, the control knobs will be difficult to access???

I have noticed I'm receiving quite a bit of radio data, seems more text information appears on the RDS info screen under the station name.
Show's who is playing, artist and track, what's on next, the DJ's name etc etc comes in quite handy.
I have been thinking about purchasing a DAB box, but not so sure if I need to as yet, we shall see.
