I would go down the route of trying the least aggresive combination first, as already said try some SRP, then move up to something like AG Paint Restorer.

Failing that take it to deano78 and get it corrected safely - you don't want to compromise the clearcoat more than it already has been and getting it attacked for £50 with an old wool head and whatever compound they have lying around isn't a good idea.

ok old bloke told me this trick thought he was nuts till i tried it a fine paste of talcum powder with a soft cloth made up with a non abrasive polish works wonders on scratches but it does take some rubbin!

Went to see Deano in Chorley on saturday afternoon to look at the damage done to my cars paintwork.He was thoroughly helpful and a nice chap to boot . Gave me some pointers and did a bit of elbow grease on one of the patches to show the difference.Even if I can restore it ,I wont get a finish like Deano's car.Same colour and age as mine but what a glean on the paintwork, wish I had taken photos to show the difference.Come on Deano lets have some photos of the car.
