Just that there doesn´t seem to be so many RHD ones left at all, so make sure no-one parks on top of yours. If this one was sold, say for 130 and the buyer could (through the club) get an out of the way lock up cheap, then it would be solved. On the edge of getting it myself as it seems so weird that a perfectly good car with a new MOT can´t get passed on to en enthusiast. The Rover 75 was the last of the -prestige- cars made by Rover with a history that goes back over 100 years. Wouldn´t happen here (SAAB and Volvo) so why are the Brits so down on their own culture. Beyond me. Suppose it boils down to no cash syndrome again Pity

Could well be right, everyone is feeling the pinch these days, but my right hooker is kept in very good order and runs sweet as a nut. When I went to POL and nationals 2 weeks ago a lot of people were very surprised to see how good the condition of mine was in, in comparison to OVP which looks very sad and is rusting away at the moment until it can be taken to the body shop.

I always thought this forum was unfortunately the worst place to sell Rovers that have been cherrished and loved by there owners
Badgertone, what you are are asking for this car is more than reasonable!!! I pay my £10 subs as do many others and apart from the fantasitic forum, with respest, all we have to show for it is a rusting OVP. Christopher, dont let this one get away. I'm sure it would make all members happy

To the above contributors - all your positive comments are warmly appreciated. I have tried to price the car (at what I regard as) reasonably. The costs of both work done and cost of any work that potentially needs to be done should always be considered. For example, we all know that on the KV6 cambelt change every 6years/90K miles is a must - If buyers have to get this done shortly after purchase, then some places can be commanding around £850 for the work (and that's before the other 'standard' jobs rear their heads......and the nice touches!)
I tried to take a 'long-term' view when I bought the car and had all the work commissioned. Firstly, it needed to be reliable and secondly it needed to last me a long time (...we've all said that at some point, and then sold on!). I always like to look after my cars and try to err on the side of caution - if in doubt I replace (as can be seen) I think that the comments about any owners forums being potentially the worst place to sell are possibly right? Members will always have a good idea about real market prices but also they will know the quirks and potential trouble areas (and what repair and renewal work to look out for). However, the same members will also look at the list of work done and have a good idea about the costs already incurred (and the potential value of this car for the future) in addition to what work will NOT need to be done. There are Pros and Cons eitherway. I think it only right to give the members on this forum the opportunity to at least consider this car (I appreciate that the choice of what to then do is entirely up to them). I bought it off a club member, I used a club trader (Jules - a proper specialist) for most of the renewal work and I have bought parts off other club members - you will understand why I am keen for S577AOX to now stay within this club if at all possible |

That would be nice, but I doubt I would be the right type of custodian for a pre-production car being a technical "Ham-Fist" This type of car needs an enthusiast with skills as needing to use a garage for the smallest repairs would make it quickly lose it's shine. Just an opinion. Derek
