PCV Filter
Has anyone installed the upgraded PCV filter which you dont have to replace

The hardest part was undoing the torx screws to get to it, also you can snap the diesel return pipes when trying to disconnect them. what I did was to remove the cir clip and pull the whole rail out off the way

easy enough to do , just be careful getting access to the filter , it's easy to break fragile connectors

I've had one fitted a couple of years now, still have a look at it once a year though. It's a fit and forget part I believe, certainly no problems with it. Another thing I don't regret fitting is the silicon intercooler hose, nice item

Yes mate it is dead easy to fit .It`s a straight swap for the other one.

PCV filter
According to BMW it is not a fit and forget item and should be replaced after a set time/mileage. Cannot see why though since there is no filter to clog up?
