Have had to go to Lincoln a few times for work this past 18 months and managed to cal in at Rimmers for bits a couple of times; always done me good! Fascinated by their collection of "mature" British cars in the shop. Its a bit far from Suffolk for bits n pieces but if a trip for work where the milege is paid for I have found it worth dong.

In the last 12 years of using Rimmer bros I've only had one issue, a brand new steering knuckle joint for my old dolomite years ago (joint internals weren't right) item sent back and replacement received.

Only a couple of days ago I was in the loading bay at rimmers cutting up a rear quarter panel for a tourer.

Not had any other issues, had a number of issues with other suppliers on multiple occasions sadly. While some appear to have great experience with one supplier, others appear not to.

The rubbers on my ZT-T don't have them but I'm planning a replacement back box hanger assembly when you get stock so I'll be replacing them then.
First I've ever heard of it too (and it makes perfect sense). Anyone know a bit more about the 'inner' (nearest to cat.) hanger which is narrower than the rear version and for some (specific?) reason red rubber composition, it also has a circumferential groove but no fail-safe feature (well at least not on the Rimmers Bros. version).

I never knew those fail-safe straps existed! But I have in the past fitted Jubilee clips round them for exactly the same reasons - I'm now going to put in a claim for royalties!
