Hi Steve,
According to the records in my profile I joined in May 2011. I've just checked my PayPal and I renewed on 31st January last year so I must have lapsed at sometime. As I said I always thought I got a reminder email or whatever when subs were due, perhaps I'm wrong on that.
However, I do agree with you that the forum needs a serious update/revamp even if subs have to go up a bit, they've been £10 for a long time.

Anyway, I'll pay my dues and get back to being a subscribed member

Now isn't that a coincidence!? It's not like me to lapse on membership on any club or forum unless I decide to leave completely, but as you get older the memory can play tricks and 2011 was a long time ago.

Hi Martyn. I am glad I am not the only one who seems to be having hiccups on here. If you have been on here over the last few days you have probably seen my problems. All ok now though. Paying by cheque to the club through Reebs on Monday. I even had problems with PayPal trying to pay. Perhaps it’s me getting to long in the tooth.By the way, see you at the next social evening hopefully.

Please accept my apologies, it seems I had not renewed so I had become a non subscribed member. I always thought I got a renewal notification when subs were due, would you be able to verify if notifications are sent out, it's possible I'm thinking of another forum I belong to.

Hi Martyn. Looks like you are now Red again so all sorted. You might already know but your subscription start and renewal dates can be viewed in your User CP by clicking on Paid Subscriptions. And although not maybe applicable to you: For those like me who do not have a Paypal account you can use Paypal as a guest to pay with a debit or credit card. Sadly Paypal is like many other outfits today, it will try to get one over on you. It does so by turning your guest status into a full-blown Paypal account by default unless you force it to do otherwise by selecting the not so prominent opt-out.

Dunno if it’s still the same but used to be that (provided your registered email was up to date) you got a notification when your subscription was about to expire.

Thanks to all the replies, I've checked my email was and is up to date. After all this palaver I doubt if I'll make the same mistake next time even if I don't get an email reminder. I paid with PayPal no problem.
