Seriously though, whilst I dont know anything about phones, but I had this a number of times. The first was trying to use a Vodafone network sim in an o2 locked phone (changed to o2, but you can unlock the phone) The next couple of times was with the same sim used in the phone previously. Switched the phone off and on, and that worked, and cleaning the sim carefully with a micro fibre towel for glass. Alternatively, you could get a new card, from your network, or the number ported to it. Contact the service.provider for this. Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk

Thanks Clf and Steve, I called in to a local phone repair shop and he unlocked it for £25. So I have a Samsung S9 phone for £ 25, very happy. Thanks again, John.
