Default thermostat change how to on v6 zt

hi i have just got my self a new thermostat kit as mine was leaking does any one know of any good threds that will show me how to change it

ps will this stop my car from running at high coolent temps

Hiya James,
i suggest you get the two manifold gaskets as well before you start.
When i did this job i found them u/s, so it wont delay ya!

thanks does any one have the link for jules as i think he said there is way to change it with out takeing all of inlet manafold off

i changed mine last week and was not a bad job, and you only need to remove the front manifold.
if you use the search facility at the top of the page and put in thermostat, the past threads on this subject should come up.

Depending on how old your engine is ..................

Pre 2002 ish there was less gaps in the front manifold, so I tend to remove that type.

Later types can be done just by removing upper manifold, and then working through the gaps
Someone's done it just by removing the throttle body and struggling around through the "side Gap"

I get back ache doing that and it's only 20 mins removing upper one!

1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block

I nam no machanic but we took off the throttle body and pushed the thermostat up between the V's ...ken Spain P.s No over heating probs since
