The TV has to be connected via hdmi not coaxial. There is very limited UHD broadcast currently and many broadcasts advertised are actually upscaled and not true UHD or as we know it 4K.

When we manufacture our 4K TVs at our factory in Wales we used a red player, yes red not blu and these provide true 4K, provided you have a 4K recording for us to best adjust the picture quality.

Another year before 4K broadcasting comes into its own as all broadcasters need to upgrade their cameras, yet again.

Yet I can watch Netflix in 4k on my Panasonic uhd player lol

Ahhh that makes more sense. We took our 902b off display a few weeks ago and that was definately playing fine with Netflix in 4k. The new EX750 range is stunning to look at in 4k tho and its cheaper

@ROGUE, I have a Sony kd49xd7500bu tv, I was going to go into Richer sounds in Liverpool centre to ask for advice, and it seems they do a home visit to tweak the tv for £99.95, a bit beyond my range at the moment. I will keep watching You Tube for any help. Many thanks for all your advice. John.

Thanks Rogue, The model is kd49xd7005bu, I have been in to the Richer shop recently for a Bluetooth receiver for my headphones and Kelvin fixed me up in minutes, great service. I will call in on Saturday p.m. Thanks again, John.

Thats not a bad set so you should be seeing an improvement.... Might be worth turning down some of the motion control settings and things like edge enhancement etc etc. Some of these sets can over process the image which is counter productive.
Guys there should look after you

We bought a new TV just before xmas, its a 40in Smart LG ULtra HD 4K,I realise we do not get 4K and ULtra HD,but I hve noticed the HD pictures trough Virgin are lots better than our previous TV.

I know nothing about TV etc but the LG looked a better picture to us,that is why we bought it,my brother bought his LG from Richer Sounds so I benchmarked his

Over to the experts
