Default Aircon not working

So, when I got the 1.8 the aircon was ice cold because I checked. I've come to use it properly and its blowing warm no matter what I do. The car just had a new head and rad, would anything be disturbed or lose the gas because of that? The panel lights, could it still be a fuse?

Cheers

Does the radiator fan run continuously when the aircon's turned on?

Was there any leaks from the air con rad when the rad was changed? It only takes a nick on the fins to hole them. A vacuum/pressure test needs to be done on the AC system.

When it's running, does it run continuously? 'Like the clappers' suggests it may be the high speed being tripped on. If so this will pulse on-off every few seconds. Basically do the Demist Test to verify the slow speed function.

An important aircon weakness is the loss of the fins from the condenser. They need checking manually if in any doubt. A visual check isn't adequate. They usually drop away when touched.

Sorry, don't mean to butt in, but could you recommend a forum supplier for quality condensers? Quite a few fins on mine are missing or brittle and fall off. Discovered this last year after I got it rehashed and little improvement. These are pricey on the web.

Try Jules for a condenser and the O rings come with it as I recall. I bought mine off him last year for my MG ZTT KV6 plus had a nice day in North Wales.

Where is it located? Would it have been moved to do the head or radiator? Just thinking if it was brittle it might have crumbled a bit? I am getting fed up now Car still full of water, no aircon, grrrrr.....I can do without aircon for a bit, but the leak is driving me barmy on top!

The condenser is fastened on the front face of the main radiator. You have to take off the bumper, the crash armature and the cooling fan to gain access.

Then answer to that then is yes, they did take it off. I'll just use Econ until I can get it looked at. All the water in there will cool me down lol.
