It's a good feature if you have a diesel with FBH, not enabled with a timer. It allows the starting of the car and firing up of the FBH if ambient temp warrants FBH operation. Then the car can be secured by locking.
That said, this means the car is left running unattended obviously, and I've read that some police forces have started enforcing this offence, even if the vehicle is on private land. i.e. your drive.
Something to consider I suppose.

I used this 'brl' for the first time, locking the car with the 2nd fob, but when i tried to open the boot holding the button down it failed to open.....
just wondering if its a fault or designed that way?

Did a few tests and found this:-
  • Spare key in ignition, door shut, try to lock with blipper on other key and get a horn chirp and car won't lock
  • Spare key in ignition, engine running, try to lock with blipper on other key and nothing happens (no horn chirp, and no locking)
  • Spare key in ignition, engine running, try to lock with other key manually and it does lock, but no warning
Is this correct operation?
Thats exactly the same as how mine works
