I'm with 1st central after a ridiculous renewal figue fom kwik fit. I'm only £270 ish with 1st central and kwik fit wanted over £500. I think they all put the prices up hoping you're the type who'll just renew.

I'm with Tesco and insured for full business use of around 20,000 miles a year for just over the £300 mark (46 with protected NCB in Glasgow).

Adrian Flux do. Almost any insurer will be able to offer you a better rate than the one you are with, to get the new business. AF managed to beat all the quotes I got by a sustantial margin and with better cover - give them a go, use their on-line quote form.

After 4 months with my current insurer, looking for another quote, cheapest was with who I am now but it was still £1,000 more than I paid.

I've been told we should blame this on the current economy... But I think £3,400 is too much to pay no matter what the economy is like!

Hope you get a great deal.

Joseph.

wow thats alot ,my son has his with tesco ,his is on a newish focus cant think of the model but it is the sport one ,the really fast ****** ..he pays £1200 fully comp,it all depends on the crime rate in areas of the insured .. every time mine is due i always laugh at it and ask them the real quote ,if i aint happy tell them ill go and insure with someone else ,they always drop it by a big amount .never had dear insurance before ,paying £239 with saga at the moment fully comp with all the bells

400 for ZTT with declared 30K business use swift cover.

Peter Best Insurance however do classic policy no no claims is needed
free glass, free agreed value (wifes ZR is 05 agreed £4500) free recovery uk & europe only £230 but limited to 10K

However the biggest problem is the fact that cars will be writted off for minor panel damage.

Pals BRM cracked number plate and orange grill cover beyond econ repair, 05 ZS with split front bumper beyound econ repair. ZTT 05 head light & front bumper damage beyond econ repair. Hence all MG rovers are loaded.

It was cheaper to ensure a fully load Focus St170 new than my 3 year old
MGZS 180 reason Ford still in production.

It is well worth getting agreed value insurance, or be prepared to by back your car from the insurers.

The flip side is you can by very clean cars as cat d for little or no money
Mk2 V8 3000 cracked sump
Mk2 ZTT 05 fsh 60K 2K
Mk2 ZR 05 30K scrapped wing and door £1400
BRM with broken bumper £300

Makes for some very cheap motoring if you dont mind replacing panels
with used ones as xpart no longer have them.
