Default Hi-Line radio problems.

I fitted a BM24 module about 4 years ago and all was good till this weekend. It doesn't show the stations as it used to and the ones it does detect are very weak, it only picks up about 4 now as well. The boot did leak this weekend so i'm guessing it is connected and the module is now shagged? Is there anything i can do to confirm it is the radio module at fault and not an aerial problem?
