I am told it is Outpost, which I haven't seen. Is it from the 2008 version?

I had to cheat with this and check with IMDB. I knew I'd heard it recently, but couldn't put my finger on it.
Turns out to be a film I really enjoyed just a few weeks ago, although I thought it was called Pierrepoint, IMDB says it was called "The Last Hangman". Either way, it was excellent. This is because I've just bought a Harley: "I need your clothes, boots and your motorcycle".

Pierrepoint wasn't, in fact, the last hangman. |

Indeed he did, and she was the last woman hanged in the UK on 13th July 1955.
However, in 1964 Harry Allen hanged Gwynne Owen Evans and on the same day Robert Stewart hanged Peter Anthony Allen. They were involved in the same offences but they were hanged in different prisons at the same time. Ergo, those two hangmen were the last to have carried out an execution. The last SURVIVING hangman in Britain was Syd Dernley. He holds the dubious honour of being the only ex-hangman still alive in the UK until 1994. He died on 1st November of that year. |

Thanks for that.
I have two unanswered quotes: - different films. "I need your clothes, boots and your motorcycle". "In the end, all you have in this life that you can count on is family".
