Default '02 Rover 75 1.8 manual Connoisseur only 27,169 miles. *****WITHDRAWN FROM SALE*****

Having just purchased another car which is requiring much immediate expenditure, it is with huge sadness that I am having to sell this car.

It is in Midnight Blue with a Sandstone interior and has an amazing provenance, fully documented in a presentation portfolio I have compiled.

It has only had 1 previous owner until I purchased it in April this year when it had done 19,700 miles.

Since I've owned it, the following have been fitted:

New windscreen, new boot badges, walnut steering wheel and hand-brake lever, beige gear and hand-brake gaiters, rear blind, cd changer (currently in glove box but with loom to fit in boot if required), aftermarket rear parking sensors, wind deflectors, clear side repeaters, aftermarket mats with Rover badges, stainless slam panel bolts, wood interior trim from Simon in Bulgaria, chrome door finishers, 'Arctic' stainless hand-brake compensator, new rear light seals, chrome roof and engine bay strips (easily removed if not to new owners taste) and the following pre-project drive items: real veneer dashboard, torpedo badges, rear quarter pillar badges, embossed headrests, door reflectors, seatbelt bolt covers.

I have detailed the engine bay, treated it to a weekly wash and wax so it sparkles and kept it garaged overnight.

Each year without fail, regardless of mileage, the car has been serviced and MOT'd at the same garage by its previous owner and has had the cambelts and water pump changed twice during its life, the last being in October 2016 at 19,660 miles so shouldn't need doing again for another 5 years. It had an interim service in October this year at Rover and MG specialists Chelmer Motor Engineers at 25,867 miles.

The current registration number J4 MKO will not be sold with the car and will revert to its '02 number. It has 2 keys.

In the presentation folder are all the service invoices detailing the work that has been carried out, every tax disc and every MOT certificate (the current MOT expires on 21 October 2018).

I would ideally like the car to be sold to a fellow enthusiast club member so I am initially offering it for sale here at a discounted price of £1,200 to include a set of Union alloys (I took these off after the last MOT and have put back on the original Contour wheels whose tyres have plenty of remaining tread) and an auto-dimming mirror and double USB charging socket which have yet to be fitted.

Please PM me with any questions you may have, as stated and as you may have worked out, I have a huge emotional attachment to this car and I wish I could keep it, but just cannot justify keeping 2 cars any more.

After a great deal of thought, I've decided to keep my first Rover and withdraw it from sale for a number of reasons.

Its in such great condition compared to my newly purchased 2.5 and will be able to be brought into service when the other car is off the road. I've got such a huge emotional attachment to it and invested such a lot of time, expense and emotional commitment to it I can't bear to let it go.
