Default The colours of Summer

Thought I would take a few photos of front and rear gardens whilst they are full of colour. It'll be nice to look back on them during the dismal days of Winter
All the credit goes to SWMBO - she's the horticulturist in the family

Hydrangeas in the back garden

Hydrangeas in the front garden

Different coloured hydrangeas in the front garden - thanks to rusty nails

Just hanging around

Some yellow flowers - told you I wasn't a horticulturist

And finally - half of next Winter's bramble and apple crumble - slowly ripening

Default Meadow flowers...

Driving back from Hartlepool the other day the central reservation (A689) was covered in different meadow flowers. Blue cornflowers, red poppies, and some yellow and white thingies (I'm NOT a gardener). I assume they had been planted deliberately as they were evenly distributed. Simple but very effective.

Thank you
Ideal place for Autumn is the Lake District - the colours in the forests around the Keswick and Southwards area are the nearest we get to North America in my humble opinion. Tarn Howes with gold and red leaves is stunning.

Smile ........ and now Autumn

As Scooterchick has a liking for Autumn (and it's not far away ), some pictures taken in the Lake District in October and November

Angle Tarn Pikes

The next three are all taken from the ramparts of Muncaster Castle

.... and the last three were all taken around Tarn Howes

Oh they're lovely! I can feel the crisp autumn breeze and that gorgeous smell just looking at them! x
