Can I remove the fog lamp lens?
Morning, and happy Mothers Day.😊
The internal bulb holder/mirror is loose inside the mk1 front fog lamp casing. The lens is misted on the inside. Does the glass lens pry off at the little inboard tab? Otherwise, how do the internals clip back into place? Thanks! Sent from my HTC Desire 626 using Tapatalk |

I'm not sure as i can't find one of my spares to check but I think the fog light lens is bonded to the reflector unit like the headlights are. Have a closer look and if it is search for the fitting Angel eyes posts and there is a how to seperatling lens from body which involves heating the unit up with a hairdryer in a box.

The reflective insert is actually held in place by the bulb holder if fitted and twisted properly... which mine hadn't been! I fashioned a miniature mop from a barbeque skewer and toilet roll to clean inside the lens! 😃 Sent from my HTC Desire 626 using Tapatalk |

Sorry everyone who I misled with my previous post... the bulb holder DOES NOT hold in place the reflector inside the front fog lamp. It looked that way to me for a moment, but I was mistaken.
ACTUALLY... you need to line up the the reflector so that the backmost section runs STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN WITH THE LARGE TAB AT TWELVE O'CLOCK AND THE TWO SMALLER TABS AT FIVE O'CLOCK AND SEVEN O'CLOCK. You need to manipulate it with your finger through the small hole at the back of the unit. It must be dead straight. At this point it looks as though it's in position, BUT... YOU NEED TO CURL YOUR FINGER INTO THE LHS (AS YOU LOOK FROM THE FRONT) AND PULL THE REFLECTOR BACK INTO THE UNIT. IT WILL MAKE A SATISFYING "CLUNK" AND BE LOCKED IN POSITION. Maybe this would be a useful How To... I've spent all afternoon so far working it out! Sent from my HTC Desire 626 using Tapatalk |

If you look carefully at the lamp you'll see there are three lugs, if you bend these out very slightly then it's easy to see they engage in a raised part that holds the lugs. Once separated the lens will detach from the body of the lamp. I dont have one here to photograph but its easy to see once its in front of you.
