Default Car reg MT04 *** from Holker - Light problem?

I was following a silver facelift CDT from Holker yesterday for a short while until the A6 (I was the Red Mk1 Zed behind through the villages ). I noticed that your left-hand rear light cluster was illuminating much more dimly than the right hand side - as if it were receiving less power than it should. Worth checking for loose wires and/or bulbs etc as it was noticeably dimmer than it ought to be.

c'mon Simon, you should know these "special" silver cars have unique features.........

(Or, joking aside, a nice helpful call)

Could it be the effect of the system substituting the brake bulb at low voltage for a blown rear bulb? Never seen it in action myself.

I thought that too but the overall low-light became apparent when they used their indicator. Their left-side was particularly dimmer than the right.

The only thing I seem to recall that can be a cause of this effect is fitting one of those dual-element bulbs. I think I tried one on the off-chance of it working but I discovered it lit very dimly so took it back out in case it did more harm than good.

The time when the Brake light takes over from blown bulb is obvious from rear as they are at different heights.
It does not function unless a bulb is US.

I had a member over for a window fault and I noticed a brightness problem with his lights

In that case it turned out someone had fitted 24V bulbs!
