No way never in a million years, it would kill the 75

How true, a load of mates and I used them in the mid to late 70's. Until the invasion of the numpty's spoiled things, but it was great while it lasted.

I had a "you have just eyeballed" badge

I still have an old Midland and mag mount in my shed, I used a shammy between the mag and the bodywork on my old... (hmm what car did I have then .. Escort maybe??) ... it pushed up the SWR but it was better that than the scratches, anyway my handle was Grinder (I was needing a handle and my old mate Speedy came round while I was messing in the garage with an angle grinder...presto one handle that stuck)

Reminds me of when Speedy had been talking to a young lady with the handle Zagazoid who described herself as "blonde and petite" He arranged an eyeball after many weeks of listening to her honey tones over his rig, getting waay to excited about it.. sadly when he got there petite didn't quite describe her, neither did blonde quite fit the description... trades descriptions would have had a field day.

After the eyeball he re-named her Sackasoil, which I think now might have been a bit harsh but heck.. we were only 18 or 19 tact wasn't our strong point.

10-4 and out..out...out kssh..beep (yep I was the clown with the Echo mic and the Roger Bleep)
