i have seen both at Steves house and my understanding is that the MG7 does fit the uk bumper but has a hexagonal recess to take an MG badge rather than the more traditional Rover shape, so you can either badge your Rover as an MG, or have a badge made.

If you want to fit one on an MG ZT though should be fine

Myself and trebor did take a look at the MG7 surround, but did not pay particular attention to fitting, it being a MG surround. There is however modifications to be made, it is not a simple fit. The bolts that fit the 75 surround are replaced with push fitting blades, these will require slots being cut into the bumper (about 16) for the blades to push into (a bit the way a facelift grille and surround are couples together)

Ill health has prevented my from doing much the last few months, especially lugging bumpers in a and out the garage loft. I will take some detailed pics when I get the chance.

The actual price at the time of puchase is below in USD

MG7 top & bottom grille $150
MG7 chrome surround $130
MG7 side grilles $60

Postage was charged at $70
The only way to pay is by bank transfer, banks charge about £20 for this, but be aware that middle banks also handle the transfer (god knows why, but they will help theiself to £20 - £25 for their part) This must be taken into account. So postage could end up costong around £90

hi devilish,
you mentioned the "suitability" of the Roewe 750 surround in an earlier thread; did you say it would fit these Uk-sourced premium bumpers, but with a mod to the bumper around the "top centre", i.e. where it fits to the slam panel; I may fit one of these if I can relace the Roewe badge with the original Rover one.

regards

I suspect it would require cutting away most of the plastic that bridges the arch over the bumper area. The Roewe grill replaces this part so there's no body-coloured section at the top. I assume the Roewe bumper must sit further back at the top so the grill sits over it. That's my interprettation anyway. I suspect the possibility of getting a good tie-up betwen the two parts is about zero. Fitting a Roewe grill seems the logical route to go, but such an idea hasn't taken off at all, so there's a good reason.
