Butterflies are beautiful when they are flying about, then Paul comes along and ruins it by taking a picture of the face

I took this shot today of all the people and exciting things happening at the beach.

And in B & W too.

The sand grains are quite large.

Tilt sorted in my original post

I thought my insect shots were over for this year but today I found a section of hedge with ivy and the insects were all over it .

Here are 2 shots.

Wet weather this morning so I went through some old pics. I took these with my 16-50 kit lens which is the least sharp lens I have. The lens is small and versatile and the camera with lens attached will slip into a jacket pocket so perfect for wandering around but not wanting to carry a camera bag. Three pics here, one is just a black and white version of the colour one.

When taking these pictures I had it in my head that B & W would look best but after looking at them I prefer the colour versions.

There's those big grains of sand again

Looks plenty sharp enough for a kit lens that's for sure , I kind of prefer the sky in the B&W conversion, all good though

Looking on here the B & W looks better than on Flickr. I think it is because the background/surround here is white and on Flickr it is black.
