I'll try my best but won't be first thing.

I'm not usually on before I get to work these days as I'm busy doing work stuff on the computer before actually getting here

Understood Jeff

I gather the best tools for nailing a lightening shot, are a lightening trigger, a tripod, a camera raincoat and remote control?

That beats sitting there for hours waiting for a lightening strike.

If you set the Pro to time-lapse Jeff, you should be able to capture the show from start to finish

Looks like 01.00hrs it might kick off.

Untitled by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr

If it does my plan is to drive down to Clacton Pier and take the shots there with some foreground interest to add drama

I have a Dslr Flash mount for the GoPro so will mount it on my camera which in turn will be on the tripod.

Thus I can use both the Dslr and the GoPro hopefully at the same time

P.s. Pro Spec Canon Dslr's and L lenses are environmentally weather sealed so should be fine.......I hope

Dear God its hot here. Just walked back from the shops, sitting in the lounge trying to cool off. That's the good thing about an old stone built cottage, tends to keep cool in the summer.

Same here Steve, Just back from another clinic appointment with mam & it's sweltering, I've put the car back in the garage out of the heat.

I was going to mow the front lawns but they can wait until after tea when it's cooler, looks like we're in for thunderstorms & a deluge tomorrow here.
