A spectacular car collection Paul. Like you, I prefer the chrome on the Rovers, but then, I'm more than a little biased.

I don't think there is such a thing as 'OEM' with our cars as no two cars that are the same specification are ever the same.

The black alloys look amazing, menacing, I would say.

Admittedly black wheels doesn't always look right but it does with the colour of your cars.

I think any MG ZT V8 should be menacing as it's not a car for the faint hearted.

I've just switched the alloys on the car, changing them back to OEM with some freshly refurbed Apex alloys in place of the very expensive Team Dynamics Black ones.

These will be going up for sale soon, as although they are great looking, for me it has to be OEM.
Did you get the Apex's refurbished?

If so, was it locally and can you recommend anyone?

Thanks,

Mark

I'm a massive Apex fan and indeed they look grand on yours, but at 2003 wouldn't OEM have been straights? or were Apex an option on Mk1's I know Mk2's were apex as standard. and as I say I prefer Apex anyway but if you have to change them to straights for oem sake i'll hapily diispose of your apex for you I'm helpful like that

I also like the team dynamics too though but Compomotives would be my aftermarket buy...

Cracking Buy anyway Good luck with her..

Hi Mark,

Yes, I used Wheelsmart @ A1 Powder coatings in Woolston. They specialise in alloy wheel refurbs and to date have refurbished two sets of Apexes for me in shadow chrome, and a set of Straights in Silver Sparkle. The Apexes have two layers so they charged £70 per corner for those.

The Apexes were made available just before the facelift SE was introduced, prior to that the standard SE wheels were the Straights and my car did indeed leave the factory with 18" straights, but as I much prefer the look of the Apex wheels and there were several pre facelift factory fit SEs fitted with them like this ZT 190 SE

I can get away with it legitimately
