Rover 75 Contemporary SE 1.8 Turbo Saloon 2005 ***SOLD***
I bough this car very recently with a blown turbo and it was smoking badly. My intention was to repair it and let my dad have it, but unfortunately he has decided not to have the car.
I have fitted a second hand turbo that has fixed the problem and the car is now running great. Also fitted exhaust manifold gasket and flushed the oil feed and return so no blockages. Good Bits: Plenums are dry as a bone. Is currently MOT'd but I need to check dates, think its November 2016. low mileage at 79700 miles Oil and filter changed New air filter coolant change (system flushed) replacement turbo, although not new works fine. full leather, electric, memory heated seats + usual Contemporary SE bits. rear parking sensors, all working rain sensing wipers IPK has MPG / trip / average speed etc (highline, is it called) Traffic master, although i guess this is now defunct? Has some service history plus the receipts for work carried out by myself. New battery fitted today. Air con blows nice and cold Fan seems to work as it should. Warning triangles in the boot. I believe it has had the head gasket done recently too, which may have lead to the turbo failure. It has had a timing belt too which is detailed in the service book. Has two keys. Not so good bits: Body work is good for the age, but does have scrapes on the corners and there is a tiny dent in the bonnet. Drivers seat is worn in the usual places, and the plastic trim where the switches are is cable tied on - the seat still works and moves though. Passenger back and forth seat switch spins All the wheels need a refurb, one looks like it has been done but not very well. Has its centre cap missing. Budget tyres all round but good tread. Radio works but not checked the CD changer and the CD slot in the dash needs the pins removing from the unit so you can put a CD in. Evidence of a boot leak as the seal has been attacked with sealant and there are holes drilled in the boot, however in recent rain there is no sign of it leaking. All in all its a nice car that just needs attention to the wheels and a decent wash and polish. I have the V5 in my name. I have not driven it on the road as it isn't taxed but there is a long drive at my dads that i've driven it up quite a few times and there is no suspension knocks and the engine temperature seems to control well. The car is in Sheffield and test drives will be up and down the drive i'm afraid due to it not being taxed. Please message me if you have any questions. Price is £1250 ono.
