Default Sunset last night

Went for a little drive last night. I was in two minds whether to take a picture at sunset or to wait until it was dark and find a location to get a night time shot. Decided I didn't want to stay out too late so opted for the sunset. Decided to pop down to south queens ferry. Place was buzzin due to the Scottish "heatwave" if you could call it that. Lots of people out and about and lots of chavs trying to spoil it for everyone else.

Found my spot and was setting up the camera. A young australian guy appeared also had the same idea. He got his camera out. Oh, err... we both snapped away and got talking. He had only been in the UK for a few days and was off to Loch Lomond the next day. I ended up giving him a lift up to the train station so he could catch his train back to his hostel and exchanged contact details. Nice chap.

Anyway, here is the shot. Tried a long exposure but it didn't work well so left that out. This was right before the sun disappeared. Not the best sunset I've seen but it could of been worse. Enjoy.

I call this cameraderie

I am loving this picture. It would actually make two great pictures. As it is, it is a peaceful scene, but cropping out the sun itself would give a full on serenity. It is just balanced throughout the shot by the clouds, the sun draws your eye in, and the bridge takes you across the frame.
