Does anyone actually buy from rimmers rip off - Page 4

I've just been having a gander at their delivery options and noticed they do Saturday delivery or even pick up in person. That might prove VERY handy to me, as I have a large suspension order to put in soon, either at Rimmers or with Mat, depending who can get the parts to me when I'm available....

I've bought a couple of things from Rimmers and I had to call them to clarify one as the dimensions weren't given in the listing. Very helpful guy on the phone actually went and retrieved the item from stock and measured it for me, so can't fault their service. However I do have one bugbear in that they add the P&P costs to the item cost and then add VAT onto the whole amount. I suppose there's a very flimsy justification for adding VAT to the packing, but the postage VAT is already included so we end up paying for that element twice. Not sure if that's very ethical - or even legal.

That's not really how it works.

Think of it simply as paying for a packing, handling and delivery service with an attached price. It's perfectly ethical and legal.

I do use Rimmers, but always check out this site first" http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/ " the postage is not cheap but there is a 10% discount for genuine parts, and free collection can be arranged if your in the SoT area.
