Advice on orange fuel filter clip please!

Hi all
Suspect my fuel filter may need one of these orange clips i have just stumbled across. Part number WJC000230. I searched the internet but the only thing that shows up is the white ones for sale - anyone used one of the white ones?!? Do they fit / work ok?

My motor is a 2001 Rover 75 2.0 V6 , in the tank i believe there are two access panels, nearside and offside is the fuel filter the nearside (passenger) side one that needs removing or the drivers side one? If anyone knows where i can still get an orange clip please pm me - will i need the seal as well.

White ones are fine and the tank filter is on the nearside.

Hold on a sec ! Are you sure you need the clip ?
Most 2001 cars have an earlier filter which does not need or accept the clip

You beat me to it was going to ask which one i was likely to have. I will check my vin out this evening but may well still pop the back seat out and visually confirm to be on safe side.

Already ordered bit but it came with a guide that say from late 2001 onwards had troyblesome one so will vusually check as may have been a friday afternoon following pub build!

Hi all

Just wanted to post my findings as a comeback on the problem, I took the back seat out, undid the passenger side access panel (4 x 10mm bolts) and was then greeted with what looks like to me the OLD style fule filter so I stopped there as no need for the clip. It has two loops on the top, took some pics so may be useful to others for identification. I drove the car 30 miles last night and it didn't miss a beat, it has only felt like it had no power on two occasions but this may sound silly but I am going to revisit the two spots where it did it and drive them again I want to test a theory.
