Default Who currently makes the very best quality KV6 water pump?

As titled

What is the very best quality KV6 water pump currently available?

Various manufacturers make these - Circoli, Quinton Hazell (I thought they went bust?), Key Parts, Xpart,Continental, Valeo, Genuine Land Rover, FAI, Fahren, First Line, BGA, etc.

I know some have plastic impellers and some have metal, I assume that metal is better.

Quinton Hazell were recommended a few years ago but they have gone bust, so not sure if it is old stock available, or if company was saved and if there was any change in quality if so - some pics of QH pumps suggest plastic impeller.

But which is the very best? I don't want to have to change it before the belts are due in 2023!

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bolin.

The Quinton Hazell brand was acquired by JP Group in Denmark.

Look at the warranty you get with the part, I know some suppliers will give more than 12 months so they must have faith in there parts.

Never buy a part in a white box, if the manufacturer is not proud to put there name on the box there is a reason.

Genuine land rover part of which there are plenty of stock! These are the same as the old stock mg rover item.

Cheaper ones don't last, I purchased a car with a badly leaking continental brand that had a knackered bearing. Also had a QH one leak after about 6 weeks.

If you use the old rover part number you might come across a old stock one on eBay.

Thanks, opinion elsewhere suggests that the Land Rover one would be best to go for.

Will look at getting one at a good price.

No doubt it is the same actual pump as some of the other brands but it is so hard to know which can be trusted to be top quality. All these bands probably come from just 3 factories I bet.

Ok, genuine Land Rover pump appears to have a plastic impeller

So maybe Circoli or BGA or FAI.... too much choice

would the plastic impeller be a better option (or at least equally as good) due to potential corrosion issues? I know plastics could become brittle with heat etc, but surely the metal would have the chance to become corroded during periods of standing? I guess overall it would depend on the type of plastic or metal in each application.

I can only say that I'd not consider a pump with a plastic impeller. Before my daughter bought the MG3 her beetle would overheat when driving, it was a split impeller the pump a VW genuine article was only 5 years old. I'd never consider one in a K4 or KV6.
