Default re heater issues

I am with Kaiser on this - due to experience. Everyone kept saying blocked matrix, so £100 and lots of swearing later I am still in the same position. So, I watched the heat control motor as I pressed the heat control button - yes you may 'hear it working' what you cannot hear is that the motor (basically a stepper type motor) is either going fully on (full heat) or fully off (no heat) - no inbetween.

I removed the motor and cable tied the actuator arm approx half way ( medium heat) and I have heat all the time as I should.

So, the heat control motors 'should' move and stop in stages as per heat selection - if they are faulty and going either on or off ie you may be selecting medium heat but as the motor is not 'stepping' it is simply going hot to cold - this gives a similar issue to the blocked matrix syndrome and can affect either side - or both when the selected temperature difference per side is too great.
