Default Charge light

Hi
Following my now cured intercooler and black smoke problems, I now have the charge light illuminated, steady and bright. When I checked just now, the voltage at the battery went up to 14.6 volts, so I know the alternator is charging.
My question is this. Is their a connector near the EGR, PCV filter, Maf or intercooler that I could have dislodged?

Thanks

Maybe check that the battery connections are tight?

Trace the control wiring back from the alternator and check for damage - not unknown for that to cause the light to come on and the battery still charge also check and clean the connectors on the alternator.

Thanks for that. Looking at the circuit diagram, I assume it is the telltale shorting to earth. Does anyone know if the routing is such that the front panel could trap or damage it? I can't see where the loom goes, where I could have caught it.

The battery is tight. One connection that did get knocked, is a cylindrical connector on the same level as the MAF housing, on the driver's side against the bulkhead and about a foot from the MAF. I can't find it on the electrical C0xxx lust and photos. I can't work out what it is, so don't really want to disturb it.
