I am in favour of the Royals , it is part of our history and the nature of a Royal family creates tourism and therefore revenue for the country. Beside much rather have a royal head of state then a dictatorship

My only current gripe with the Royal Family is I believe Charles should not be allowed to take the throne. Should do as Edward did and abdicate his position

The tourist argument is I believe flawed and irrelevant. Palace of Versailles in France receives far more visitors than Bucks Palace and they did away with the Royals sometime ago. Recent polls have shown as many as 53 per cent of UK population would not be concerned if monarchy was abolished. Its only a matter of time before they go. Dave

Does the Palace of Versailles bring in more than £160,000,000 each year?
This is the figure of the income generated by land rent from our Royalty.
