Default Clunk?

good morning , i wonder if any one can give me sum advice ,i have a cdti auto when im stationery and move the stearing wheel left to right in small movements ,i hear a bit of a clunking sound A thud,any ideas what this could be .? and i can hear it on the move when driving sometimes . any advice welcome kind regs tony .

Most likely top mounts. Symptoms are very characteristic. Slight clunk when steering goes through five to and five past positions.

had the same on mine, sounded like top mounts but was a very very slight play in a trackrod end

hi just an update ,it was the top mounts ,bought a brand new pair of struts from best of british .had them fitted ,and no more clunking ,well chuffed ,can enjoy her again now . thanks for advice given ,nice one
