Angry

same with insurance companies !!!
They work it on the principal that very few people check these things and those that do such as yourself get it reduced .
There is a lack of honour with these people IMHO.
In scotland we call them CHANCERS.

We looked around for renewal, and as our payment details were out of date RAC thought we were leaving... they offered a £30 M&S voucher making them about £3 cheaper than Green Flag... so that was a result. It is infuriating that loyalty goes unrewarded (actually, penalised).

I do agree that it is wrong that new member sometimes pay considerably less than longstanding ones, however,i consider my subscription of around £110 with RAC worth every penny.I have the top level of cover for all three of my cars,or myself as passenger in any other car. It's complete peace of mind to me that i can call on them 24/7 365 days a year.I've not needed them often thankfully but when i have they have dug me out of some fairly deep holes. When you consider that just one tow of a motorway in the middle of the night can cost hundreds of pounds, just one call out more than covers the subscription.Furthermore my level of subscription ensures i'm taken home, with or without the car.

I get 20% off through my work, been with them 3 years, and it was still cheaper by £30 through the website as a new member, all I want is a tow though, as I would not let any of them touch my car.........
