Hi there – please forgive my naivety in the questions I’m about to ask. I’m really interested in having folding mirrors, but my black 54 plate facelift motor has the black skullcap type. Do people fit the chrome bullet types as a kind of better-looking upgrade to cars like mine, or are they for a different trim/age of car or something?

Hi Roger,
To be honest I cant answer your question,I have seen power folds with both types of mirror backs, I have to say tho' I have skullcap on my car and these bullets don't look out of place. As far as I know the backs could be swapped but someone with greater knowledge will be along to say for sure. Try asking the question on the general forum, you will get a lot of varied answers then. |

Bullitt mirrors where specifically designed for the 75. The later skullcap mirrors where taken from the 45 as part of cost cutting afaik.
