DAB radio. I'm hooked with new double din
Had a Kenwood DPX-406DAB double din fitted a few days ago.
What a difference. Crystal clear sound and I can plug in the iphone and play 853 different tracks from it. I have been dragged into the 21st century. Add that to the VVC alloy inlet manifold fitted the same day and the car runs well too.

I was debating something similar - I'm still on a Sony stereo I had fitted to my first Rover.
At a guess, it's been in around 20 cars - no iPod connectivity, just a jack for any headphone input. DAB would be good, I rarely find myself listening to FM as anything on there is not really to my taste.

I love dab!! No looking back. Made such a difference in my car. Massive range about these days and cheap enough at the bottom end.

My new van came with a DAB radio fitted, I'm a huge fan especially Radio 4 Extra for all the comedy shows.
A DAB for the ZT is definitely on the shopping list. |

I've been looking at the Halfords site for offers.
If I want to put DAB in my ZR, they have 2 units on offer at the moment. Pioneer MVH270DAB car radio £40. Pioneer DEH4700DAB cd/radio £60.

I fitted a Pioneer DEH-4800DAB to mine last saturday. I have to admit that I love the clear sound from the digital radio. No need to say that this is the way to go! I am only missing the adapter for connecting the steering wheel controls now. Pretty shame that they costs a bit more than they taste....

I haven't bothered with the adaptor for the steering wheel controls as yet. Toyed with it but decided the cost outweighs the inconvenience of moving my left had 18"......

Can I ask?
Does it have a separate aerial or does it work well with the rear screen aerial with the rear heater element switched on. Ken. |
