Are you referring to the crossovers? These can be placed in various parts of the car. Inside the door or under the seats etc.

Yes I've replaced the front speakers in my car with Fli integrator comp 5's 2 way components and I just installed the speakers in the original mounts and mounted the crossover in the additional tweeter slot (the tear drop shaped hole on the speaker mount), if your crossovers bigger than that you could just find a void space and double sided tape it to the inside of the door.

Some people also display them and mount them on the outside of the door card, but I don't know why you would want to do that.

My kit came with tweeters, but I used the rover tweeters, connected through the crossover, so it would look more original (sounded better also unfortunately! )

Sorry unfortunately no picture of my install at the moment, but will be installing speakers in the back of my car, in a couple of weeks and will be documenting this!

Hope this helps.
