Default 16:9 monitor upgrade - compatability with a 75

I've finally decided to upgrade from the 4:3 display on my 2000 Hi Line, but before I do, can anyone tell me if any of the units usually advertised on eBay etc will NOT fit a 75, or are all of them OK to use. I just want to be sure before I take the plunge.

It's going to be a one bit at a time gradual upgrade.

Thanks,

Brian.

As long as they are they this compatibility with BMW E46 vehicles they'll be OK, there are 7 series units advertised that do not fit, be aware thought that the unit with CD behind the screen requires upgrade of the radio module also so if doing it gradually either start with the BM54 radio (gives tou permanent TMC and for some better FM reception though not all agree on this point) and all the associated cable, or accpet just having a tape deck behind the sat nav screen - hope this helps

Thanks for the quick reply, that's just what I needed to know.

The tape option is fine with me because I have the cd multichanger and anyway will probably do the ipod conversion when I get round to it. I'm not too concerned about upgrading the radio at the moment even though it would be better for TMC and anyway I've seen how much they cost!

It never ceases to amaze me how much the likes of B*W charge for some of their parts.

In that case go for the BM24 radio - majority of the benefits and not all the costs

Glad to be able to help
