I would use the power cable supplied with the dashcam and connect it to a female cig loom 5v from ebay (i used this one 181732445990) Buy a add-a-circuit off ebay (less than £2) for a few pieces.. tap it on to either a permanaently live or ignition feed, depending on your dashcam if you want to use the g-sensor or parking mode, then connect it to the cig loom. Or you can buy the hardwire kit from maplins and connect it to an add-a-circuit and run the wire on top of the windscreen and tuck it in the headlining down to a pillar then all the way to the fuse box under the glovebox.

I wpuld take a 12v source from a spare output in the fuse box.
Buy one of these. Connect theoutput to a USB cable (pin 1 +ve, pin 4 -ve). Job done. The A pillar trim pulls right off to get a tidy install.

I come across a obd dash cam power supply earlier... may be a lot easier to install if its suitable
