Default The Agony and The Ecstacy

Today started off indifferently to say the least. A blocked windscreen washer jet meant a quick replacement was needed...I had a spare ready and waiting.

Suffice to say the replacement was done, but doing the job led to a broken nail, and two of the black retaining buttons on the soundproofing mat spinning off and going to where all plastic clips go to....the place where they cannot be found !!

Tried a couple of scrap yards...no 75's in. Resigned to having a floppy mat above the engine.

Passing through Guisborough I saw a small body shop garage in a small trading estate. Anything is worth a try I thought. I asked the guy in there, " I know it is a million to one shot, but do you have the black plastic retaining buttons for a Rover 75 bonnet mat? His reply, " how many do you want ? I got a boxful. He gave me 6 and wouldn't hear of any payment. What a result !!! God Bless Him

Good to hear there are still some decent people about. How the heck did you break a nail? mine are so short I couldn't do that if I tried (that and the fact that I have a trim removal tool !)
