Fantastic as ever Paul,
Had a little play myself in the cat rescue garden the other day.
Still very much a 'work in progress' for me but your photos are inspiration enough to keep at it

I bought a travel Tripod on eBay (from China).

It is light and seems well made. Also turns into mono pod. Has ball head. Is made of carbon fibre.

£ 56

I am pleased with it but remember it is a travel tripod and not as sturdy as a pucker studio model. Great for my purposes though.

That's why I thought I would put it here. Photography can be a pricey hobby so good to shout if a bargain is spotted.

Indeed Sir, talking of which, I just bought a handy little flash gun mount that screws onto a tripod thread for a couple of quid .
Going to use it on my Joby Gorrilapod so I can fix up some off camera flash and do some experimenting

Sounds good. I may use my old video style tripod to take a flash or I see you can get a 2M flash stand on eBay for less than £10. I'll think about that one.

Edit: Just tried it and my flashes fit on the old tripod so that will do for now unless |I need more height.

Nice pictures

There are some bargains to be had if you look carefully. I bought a fantastic manfrotto aluminum tripod for 50 delivered. Previous owner never used it. It was brand new when it arrived. Fantastic sturdy thing. Still using it.

As a keen amateur your pictures blow mine out of the water but please keep taking more.

The dog in picture 1 is just like I am there !

Anyway a question to which I guess I already know the answer, I don't use a tripod but have a pukka one and a table top version in the kit I bought last year , my camera is a Nikon D5100 used mainly for taking pictures on holiday and at the various car meets I go to. Would it make a big difference and have you used one in the majority of pictures you have posted on this thread ?

Sorry to hijack your thread
